Program Coordinator

Title: Full-time Program Coordinator

Reports to: Program Director

Job Summary:

Be A Mentor is seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) Program Coordinator to facilitate in carrying out our mission to enable youth to develop positive relationships with caring adults who empower them to reach their full potential through mentorship. The Program Coordinator will help facilitate Be A Mentor’s signature school-based Mentorship programs, specializing in the downtown Charleston Area.

At Be A Mentor, creating relationships within our school walls is a priority. Through direct communications with schools, and mentoring database software, Be A Mentor is able to make a difference in the lives of many youth throughout the area. The Program Coordinator would be a vital member of our Programs team and the Be A Mentor village.

Make an impact in your local community by being an AmeriCorps VISTA. The Be A Mentor VISTA will be an integral part of our BAM village for one year, and be exposed to all aspects of the nonprofit business, while focusing on the following four areas:

-Increase organizational reach and capacity,

-Inform efforts in grant management strategy,

-Enhance efforts in grant development

- Mentor database creation
