Who We Serve
In today's society, children who grow up in low-income neighborhoods in which can have high levels of unemployment, crime, and violence, are often labelled as "children at-risk."
While this description is apt, it places a negative label on individual children that can ultimately feed into a self-fulfilling prophecy. At Be A Mentor we target children "on the brink of success" for our programs,
flipping the paradigm to the positive.
