Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Development and Grant Writer to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in securing the resources necessary to expand our impact and reach more youth. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and storyteller who can translate program outcomes into compelling narratives that resonate with funders, donors, and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Writing & Reporting

    • Research, write, and submit timely grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies.

    • Prepare progress reports, renewal applications, and supporting documentation.

    • Track grant deadlines and reporting requirements using an internal calendar and database.

  • Fund Development

    • Support the creation of annual fundraising strategies in partnership with the Executive Director.

    • Assist with donor communications, including newsletters, thank-you letters, and impact updates.

    • Help develop sponsorship proposals, gala fundraising materials, and donor stewardship strategies.

  • Storytelling & Communication

    • Collaborate with program staff to gather stories, outcomes, and data to craft compelling cases for support.

    • Draft content for development campaigns, appeals, and social media highlights related to donor impact.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

  • Familiarity with donor databases is a plus.

  • Knowledge of youth development, education, or mentoring programs is preferred.
