Be A Mentor is a Charleston-based nonprofit that connects students with caring adult mentors, helping young people develop positive relationships, build confidence, and work toward their goals. BAM provides trained volunteers to mentor students in elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the Lowcountry, striving to match every student in the greater Charleston area with a supportive adult role model. Proceeds from this event support BAM’s mentorship work in schools across the community.

Our mentors complete an interest form, attend a one-time training, and complete a background check before being thoughtfully matched with a student in a local school.
